Small acts of kindness

Recently, there was a heavy downpour at where I was staying and due to the heavy rain, I took a bus to the MRT station. When the bus reach the destination that I wanted to alight, I alighted after a Mother and her little daughter. After they got into the shelter of the bus stop, they stopped to clean off the rainwater on themselves. I overtook them and was suddenly tapped by the little girl. She looked at me and asked me to be careful in Mandarin. I was taken aback by her thoughtfulness. As I was wearing heels and there were aplenty of puddles of water. The way she said it was sweet and innocent. I'm no pedophile but she really made my day. I was slightly flabbergasted by her words and merely smiled at her and her mother. Her mother was a little embarrassed too. But the small acts of kindness does put a smile on others. Thank you little girl.
